![]() ![]() My inside clips of family/friends are, lets say, just ok. Secondly, I note that you have a Canon EOS M. I have a question(s): First, I'm very much a novice at video. And we all have a pretty good idea about the possible looks of nature's greens. But, it turns out that getting greens correct for leaves, grass and shrubs is actually where most grades fail. On the other hand, I know what these flowers look like, and while I agree because the colors are more narrow on a given flower perhaps they are less challenging to get right. The variety of "skin tones" is enormous and no one could possibly tell anything about grading from seeing them all. Do you have a particular ethnicity or race in mind for test subjects? Sure, skin that is blueish indicates a problem, but so does a sunflower that is orange or blueish or a sky that is teal. There are many, many varieties of "skin tones" One cannot possibly tell whether for a given human being the "skin tones" are accurate. Or they could just enjoy the flowers, the water, the ships and the train.Īctually, I think this cliché about skin tones to test color grading is wrong. ![]() People could comment on focus, resolution, moire, composition, exposure, how boring, bokeh, pace, dynamic range, white balance, audio, stabilization - any number of things. I am not looking for any specific feedback, but any is fine. Not sure what feedback youre looking for. Generally flowers, grasses, and shrubs are very forgiving for colour correction. If you want to get feedback on either the colour grade software or youre processing, then I suggest you include lots of skin tones. If you want to edit, you must use the combo if you use Slog2, since most editors bundle them together (you cannot choose slog2 and another color space in any editor I know except maybe REC709). So, looking at the RX100 VI Picture Profiles, are you using PP7, and leaving the Color Mode at the default S-Gamut? He may also have a set for Slog3, but most do not recommend shooting 8bit Slog3. I always shoot EV+2 in Slog2, except at night. ![]() That is, there is a LUT for exact exposure, EV+1 and EV+2 and EV+3. His LUTs are useful for when you shoot ETTR (which is highly recommended). I used the LUTs for this from Alistair Chapman. Looks nice! Did you only use a LUT? or more touch-up? I can't decide if I should use Cini2 with ITU709 Matrix, SLOG2, SLOG3, and what LUT's? I also use Vegas Pro 15 ![]()
